Which schools do you pick up from for the After-School Program, and does transportation cost extra?
We provide free daily bus transportation directly from eight local elementary schools: Farragut Primary, Farragut Intermediate, Hardin Valley, Northshore, Ball Camp, A.L. Lotts, Bluegrass, and Mill Creek. As soon as your child steps onto our P3 bus at dismissal, you will automatically receive a push notification via the P3 Sportsplex app and an email letting you know they are safely on board and headed to our facility.
How does P3 handle Knox County Schools' early release and scheduled half-days?
As a perk of being a P3 After-School member, all scheduled KCS early release and half-days are 100% included in your membership at no extra tuition charge! On early release days, KCS provides a sack lunch before dismissal. On half-days, your child can either bring a packed lunch from home or register for our in-house Pizza Party. (We just ask that you mark your child absent by 10:00 AM if your child will not need bus pickup on those days.)
What ages do you accept, and does my child need prior athletic experience?
We welcome kids starting at ages 3.5 to 4 (Preschool Tumbling and beginner martial arts) all the way through high school, plus we offer Adult Martial Arts classes! Zero prior experience is needed. Our beginner classes are specifically designed to build foundational body control, physical coordination, and confidence from day one
What is the difference between After-School enrichment and standalone evening classes?
In our After-School Program, students are grouped into teams that rotate through a "taste" of different classes each day of the week—including Martial Arts, Gymnastics/Tumbling, Dance, Parkour, and STEM—plus outdoor play, homework time, and access to our Game Bus (equipped with 14 gaming systems!). If your child falls in love with a specific sport and wants to earn belt ranks or advance faster, they can also dual-enroll in our dedicated standalone evening programs for Martial Arts (Taekwondo/Jiu-Jitsu), Cheerleading, or Tumbling.
How do I book classes or register my After-School/Camp child for evening programs?
Everything runs smoothly through our P3 Sportsplex App. Once you are enrolled in a program (Martial Arts, Cheer, or Tumbling), simply download the app, tap the red "Class Schedule" tab, and reserve the exact days and times that fit your family’s week. If your child is currently in After-School or Summer Camp and wants to add a formal evening program, just reach out to our admin team between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM and we will send you a quick enrollment link.
How does the afternoon pickup procedure work at the Kingston Pike facility?
To keep all children safe and traffic flowing smoothly, all After-School and Camp pickups take place using our rear drive-thru pickup loop (at 11805 Kingston Pike, turn right at the dentist’s office and follow the signs around the back—front-door pickup is not permitted for safety reasons): Use your app to request pickup at least 10 minutes before you arrive. Our staff will get your child packed up and waiting at the dismissal area. (Note: A randomized dismissal code generated from our secure app is required before we release any child, so please share this code with grandparents or authorized pickups if needed!)
What should I do if my child is absent from school and doesn't need bus pickup?
If your child stays home sick, leaves school early, or is riding home with you, please mark your child absent in our P3 Sportsplex app or text us at 865-272-4853 by 1:00 PM daily (or by 10:00 AM on early release days). Because our bus drivers will not leave a school campus until every scheduled child is accounted for, unnotified absences delay the route for all families and incur a $25 non-notification fee.
What happens during P3 Summer Camp, and do kids go on field trips?
Our Summer Camp is an action-packed athletics and adventure camp—never boring babysitting! Every camper gets two off-site field trips per week (Tuesdays/Thursdays for younger teams; Wednesdays/Fridays for older teams) to local pools, movie theaters, farms, and parks, alongside in-house martial arts, tumbling, and team games. Morning Drop-Off: Uses the back loop until 8:45 AM (we pause check-ins between 8:45 AM and 9:30 AM to prep teams for field trips). Daily Packing List: Closed-toed shoes, lunchbox, water bottle, snack, sunscreen, outdoor clothes, and their P3 Camp shirt on field trip days.
Are your Tumbling, Cheer, and Dance programs ultra-competitive or expensive with recital fees?
No! We believe kids thrive best in a positive, encouraging environment, and we never require your child to compete. While we offer advanced tracks for kids who want to push their skills, our primary focus is building confidence, grit, and coordination. For our tumbling and dance students, we host two showcases a year—and the first is an in-studio Holiday Showcase that we host as a free gift to parents to keep family costs low!
How do I stay updated on weekly schedules, Parents’ Night Out, and special events?
Every Sunday morning, our Director sends out a weekly parent email newsletter packed with everything happening that week—from theme days and belt testings to upcoming Parents’ Night Out dates and In-Service Day Camps. You can also try a free trial class anytime before committing to an athletic membership.
