Camp FAQS
This page serves as a reliable answer for any common or frequently asked questions you may have about our camp program!
Any parent/guardian/authorized pickup should use the back pickup loop for arrival and dismissal process. Our front doors will stay locked until 9:00AM. 8:45AM is the latest to drop off. Our team will not process any late drop offs from 8:45AM-9:30AM as we organize our teams and prepare for field trips. Parents will need to wait in the pickup line until 9:30AM unless a staff member can break away to complete check in. No parents/guardians will be allowed to pickup inside the building unless your child is dual enrolled in our programs.
If a child is dual enrolled or needing to be picked up, a text message to 865-272-4853 must be sent with your child’s name ten minutes prior to pickup. If child is not ready at time of pickup, you may be asked to drive the pick up loop again to keep the car line moving.
Yes, P3 takes a lot of field trips during summer camp! Each team will get two field trips a week during summer camp to all sorts of fun places like the swimming pool, movie theater, and local farms and parks! The younger teams take their field trips on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while the older teams take theirs on Wednesdays and Fridays. On field trip days, kids MUST be wearing their P3 shirt that they received at the beginning of the summer. On top of that, kids are required to bring: Sunscreen, proper clothing (bathing suit for pool days), a water bottle, and lunchbox on every field trip.
If your child is enrolled in our summer camp program and is looking to enroll in Martial Arts or Cheer & Tumble, you can contact our admin team between the hours of 9-6 and we will forward you a link to enroll! If your child is already enrolled in one of our programs, you can register for classes on our app “P3 Sportsplex.” Open the app and select the red tab labeled “Class Schedule.” From there, you can find the date(s) and time(s) that you’d like to reserve for your child! Please be sure to text our dismissal line at 865-272-4853 if you are picking your child up from class in our lobby.
There are some items we require every kid to bring each day to summer camp: Lunchbox, water bottle, snack, outdoor clothing, sunscreen, and closed-toed shoes! These items are essential to your child having a smooth and fun day!
Kids are expected to be able to handle all clothing related matters. They should be able to change in out of swim/outerwear on their own and be able to put their shoes on their feet to the best of their ability. Kids should not bring toys from home as they risk misplacing it or it accidentally being damaged/altered. We have a large selection of toys for the children to use while at our facility! The children are expected to be able to use the bathroom and wash their hands on their own as well. Electronics are welcome, but are only allowed to be used at certain times! Lastly, kids are expected to keep up with their personal belongings! We do have a lost and found for missing items located at our drive thru drop off/pickup area. Lost and found is donated at the end of each week.
Campers arrive in their water gear on water days. Be sure to pack a change of clothes for the afternoon.
Spray sunscreen is required for all campers every day. Please label their canned sunscreen with their name. It works best by placing a piece of masking tape on the can and using a sharpie to write the name on the tape. It is $1.50 for us to use our sunscreen on campers who do not bring their own spray sunscreen. Please note we can not apply lotion type sunscreen to campers. We recommend spraying your child’s sunscreen on them at home as well. We will apply again before loading buses.
Campers may bring their own electronics for use during kid cave time. They are responsible for their devices and games. Students cannot share with other kids.
Please text us at 865-272-4853 if your child will be absent so we can mark them off rosters. Team Assignments are completed by our automated system, and moving a camper’s team for them to be with a friend is not allowed as our system assigns team by age. You will receive an agenda each Sunday at 7am with teams and agendas. Be sure to label everything that belongs to your child. Lost and Found will be at the dismissal line on good weather days. Please check the table & Z-Rack consistently. Items are donated on Friday.
Please do not allow toys/stuffies/trading cards, etc. to be brought from home.
